Twenty-five years ago spouses told each other goodnight for the last time. Parents tucked their children in to bed for the last time. Friends told each other that they would talk later for the last time. Twenty-five years ago tomorrow we promised each other we would never forget. Take the time to say a prayer for the victims families, because they are still hurting. Pray for our active military and our veterans, because they are still sacrificing for us and our country. Pray for our emergency services, because they are still keeping vigilance over their communities. Continue to pray everyday that we may one day have peace across the world and no malice in mens hearts. Never Forget. God Bless!

For the last two days members of our department participated in the 4th annual Secret City EMS Expo in Oak Ridge. This training was hosted by Anderson County EMS and Y-12 Fire Department and has been provided at no cost to the participants every year. This allows us to gain new medical knowledge and CEU's at no cost to the City of Rockwood or it's taxpayers for the classes. In a small town such as Rockwood we recognize that we need to be thrifty with taxpayer's money and spend it wisely, but also provide you with the best trained and equipped fire department we can. By taking advantage of local and free training we can do both. Training today for tomorrow's emergencies!

We are pleased to announce that with funds from a generous donation (whose donor wishes to remain anonymous), we have purchased two new AEDs' and a new Thermal Imaging Camera. These new additions have the latest technology and are an upgrade to our current AEDs' and Cameras. This allows us to provide a more efficient service to our patients and residents, and keeps our department current with the newest trends in the fire service. Thank you to our donor and for the trust they put in us to use the funds wisely.
