7:00am power should be restored to Manson. Thank you for your patience while crews worked and thank you to all the line workers.

There are several tree limbs down blocking some roadways in Manson. MidAm is assessing lines down and city crews are working to clear streets. Please allow them to work safely and proficiently as possible.

Storms are starting to push out of the area, most of Manson and some other communities are without power. If you come upon a down line do not approach and call 911.

Thunderstorms developing over Nebraska will move into Iowa this morning. Gusty winds and hail could occur with a few storms. Additional storms will develop this afternoon. Strong to severe storms are possible after 3 pm south of Interstate 80. Large hail, damaging winds and heavy rainfall are all possible along with an isolate tornado.

A few storms are possible early Tuesday over southwest Iowa with gusty winds possible. Much of the day will be dry before thunderstorm chances increase Tuesday evening and into Tuesday night. A few strong to severe storms are possible. Additional severe weather is possible Wednesday and Thursday.

Additional strong to severe thunderstorms are expected later today into tonight. All severe hazards are possible, including flash flooding, large hail, damaging wind gusts and potentially a tornado.
