Congratulations to Alexander Belard on fulfilling their service requirement as an Eagle Scout Candidate!

Alex lead a team in building and installing a boardwalk across a naturally occurring drainage area that is frequently prone to flooding and erosion. His efforts have provided hikers with a safe, dry, and more accessible way to traverse this section of the trail, improving visitor experience and access to nature.

The nature center thanks him for his service and wishes him well on his journey to Eagle Scout!

Today we’re celebrating our three resident corn snakes: Sunni, Kernel, and Irwin! 🌽❤️

Corn snakes are nonvenomous, native to North America, and play an important role in keeping rodent populations in check. Next time you visit the Nature Center, be sure to stop by and say hello to these slithery ambassadors!

It's almost time for National Moth Week! We are kicking it off here at CCNC with our Moth-o-palooza event on Saturday, July 18, 9-11 p.m. at Croydon Creek.
