D17 Club Membership Meeting - Saturday, August 29, 2:30-4:00 pm at Gaithersburg Library, 18330 Montgomery Village Ave. We will have a social meet and greet and membership meeting to review and vote on several matters, including adoption of revised bylaws and approval of Board members. This will be a great time to meet fellow D17 Democrats and to learn about the Club. Background: GEO Group and CoreCivic are two of the largest companies that work with ICE to build and operate their detention centers. Citizens Bank provides major money to GEO Group and CoreCivic.
In 2019, eight major banks — JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Barclays, BNP Paribas, and others — pledged to stop doing business with CoreCivic and GEO Group. Citizens Bank did not. Since then, Citizens has helped the two companies access more than $2 billion in financing.

Citizens Bank has 4 locations in Maryland, all in Montgomery County.
