Mo Hannah Mo Hannah: I know this has been said repeatedly by others, but I have to say it myself: what is being done to parents and children on the border of the U.S. and Mexico is criminal, scandalous, and inhumane. Lots and lots of attention being paid to that atrocity right now. So how about finally, at long last, paying heed to the cries of thousands and thousands of protective mothers who have had their children ripped out of their loving arms, sometimes for the entire duration of the kids' childhoods, due to unjust, improper, and sometimes criminal practices in our nation's family courts? Where is the outcry on behalf our own citizens? Where are the politicians who are, as we speak, capitalizing on the political capital they are gaining due to the media's current coverage of the immigrant crisis? What about covering the protective mothers' crisis, the one that has been ongoing in this country for decades, during which battered women's advocates and activists have been waving red flags in front of those politicians eyes, begging for help for this nation's mothers and children? Where is the outrage?
