Congratulations to RCF’s Newest Correctional Lieutenants, Christopher Fogle and Danielle Myers!

Lieutenant Fogle began his IDOC career at RCF in 2016 as a Correctional Officer and later advanced to Correctional Sergeant. His specific responsibilities have encompassed:
Leading the maintenance of facility Post Orders
Overseeing Emergency Plans
Managing the inventory and readiness of ballistic vests and body-worn cameras
Previously serving on the department’s Technical Response Team where he also served as an Adjunct Instructor.

Lieutenant Myers joined RCF in 2013 as a Correctional Officer before rising to the position of Correctional Sergeant. Her roles include:
Extradition Officer
Field Training Officer
Disciplinary Hearing Review Officer
Security Threat Group Task Force Member
Urinalysis Program Coordinator
Additionally, Lieutenant Myers serves as an Adjunct Instructor for Restrictive Housing and Sexual Abuse Response Teams, is a graduate of the Women in Leadership Program, and has participated in the facility’s Promoting Positive Professional Culture Committee.

What do these two outstanding professionals share? Both are highly motivated individuals who have dedicated their time and effort to become subject matter experts across a variety of specialized topics and have consistently acted as peer leaders throughout their careers.

We stand in solidarity with, and offer comfort to our sisters and brothers at IWP as they navigate the profound loss of an esteemed trailblazer.

It is with the heaviest of hearts and much sadness, the Indiana Women's Prison must announce the passing of a most loved member of our family, Warden LaShelle Brown.

Warden Brown arrived here at the facility as Warden in 2021 and never looked back. Her charisma and leadership impacted countless lives in her short time with us and she will remain in our hearts forever.

We are comforted knowing that her faith led her and was a guiding factor in her life. As we all work through this loss, please keep her family, her friends and her extended family here at IWP in your thoughts and prayers.

Congratulations to RCF’s Correctional Officers, Joseph Denton-Erlenbush and Annalyse Jenner, on your graduation from the IDOC Peer Leadership Program. A special thanks to RCF Correctional Officer, Dustin Bradley, for serving as a Peer Leader for the program attendees.

The Peer Leadership Program is an initiative by IDOC aimed at enhancing an essential leadership component. This program focuses on high-potential staff members who consistently support their colleagues by sharing skills and knowledge on a daily basis.

Did you know that a collaborative effort exists between IUPUI and the IDOC aimed at training offenders to become peer educators in infectious disease prevention? The Indiana Peer Education Program/Project Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (INPEP/ECHO) empowers graduates to share their knowledge with fellow inmates about prevalent health issues impacting prison populations. These include infectious diseases like hepatitis C, staph/MRSA skin infections, and tuberculosis; mental health challenges such as su***de risk, depression, and anxiety; as well as HIV, other sexually transmitted infections, diabetes, and addiction.

As these trained individuals reintegrate into our Indiana communities, they will bring their knowledge, empowering them to share information rather than spread diseases.

The Indiana Peer Education Program is a partnership involving the ECHO Center at IUPUI, Step-Up Inc., the Indiana Department of Correction, and the Viral Hepatitis Program at the Indiana

Please join us in congratulating and celebrating Tonya Harvey's promotion to Correctional Captain! Since joining RCF as an Officer in 2016, Tonya has worked tirelessly to demonstrate her capabilities, taking on numerous Adjunct Training Instructor assignments along the way.

Her journey included promotions to Sergeant and Lieutenant, during which she not only embraced additional supervisory responsibilities but also continued to take on even more tasks.

Tonya is a proud graduate of the IDOC’s esteemed Leadership Academy and currently serves as a Team Lead for others completing the program. A dedicated worker, a leader, a mentor, and above all, a valued team member. Way to go, Tonya!

RCF Re-Entry Simulation 2026 - Offenders took part in an event designed to enlighten them about the challenges they might face upon re-entering society after incarceration. This exercise aims to shift their perspective from abstract ideas about release to the practical realities of achieving success post-release.
