The Montgomery County Council is the legislative branch of County Government. It has nine members, all elected at the same time by the voters of Montgomery County for four-year terms. The Council generally meets on Tuesdays beginning at 9:30 a.m. The Council meets other days in committees and frequently holds public hearings and forums in the evenings.

Community members are invited to attend 4 community listening sessions in June hosted by the Infrastructure Funding Workgroup. The workgroup is seeking community feedback on how to better fund infrastructure, such as schools, transportation and parks.

The listening sessions will be held:
• Monday, June 8, 2-4 p.m., Upcounty Regional Services Center (12900 Middlebrook Rd., Germantown, Md.)
• Wednesday, June 10, 6-8 p.m., East County Regional Services Center (3300 Briggs Chaney Rd., Silver Spring, Md.)
• Tuesday, June 16, 6-8 p.m., Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center (4805 Edgemoor Lane, Bethesda, Md.)
