I’m deeply saddened by the news of the shooting at Wootton High School today. My thoughts are with the injured student and their loved ones. I want to thank the Rockville City and Montgomery County police, along with all first responders, for their swift and dedicated efforts to protect our community. We’ll continue to closely monitor the situation.

A person was shot inside Thomas S. Wootton High School in Rockville, Maryland, on Monday, according to police.

Power in numbers! Nearly 100 Rockville neighbors—teachers, seniors, federal workers—came together last weekend to share their stories and call for rent stabilization.

Proud to see bringing folks together (those potluck lemon bars were incredible! 👏). Big thanks to our faith leaders, unions, and local groups for spreading the word, and to Channel 7 News for putting our neighbors' voices front and center.
