⚠️ Community Safety Notice – City of Rockport ⚠️
The Rockport Police Department wants to make residents aware of several recent porch/package thefts reported in our community. These incidents have occurred within the past few days and typically involve packages being taken shortly after delivery.
While investigations are ongoing, we encourage everyone to take a few simple precautions to help protect deliveries and personal property:
What You Can Do to Protect Your Deliveries:
• Track packages closely and retrieve them as soon as possible.
• Consider requiring a signature for high-value deliveries.
• Use delivery instructions directing packages to a secure
location.
• Install motion lights or doorbell/security cameras.
• Ask a trusted neighbor to collect packages if you’re away.

If you notice suspicious activity, please report it immediately to Rockport Police Department at (812) 649-2242 EXT 4 Sharing descriptions, photos, or video footage can help identify those responsible.

Community awareness is one of the most effective ways to prevent theft.

Let’s work together to keep Rockport safe.
