Act FAST and call 911 for immediate medical attention if you recognize these signs of a stroke 🚑

🌍🧠 Today is World Stroke Day! 🧠🌍
The Aransas County Office of Emergency Management reminds everyone that recognizing the signs of a stroke and acting quickly can save lives. When it comes to stroke, every second matters — acting FAST could mean the difference between life and death. ⏱️🚑

👉 Remember the F.A.S.T. warning signs:
🔹 F – Face: Is one side drooping? Ask the person to smile.
🔹 A – Arms: Does one arm drift downward when both are raised?
🔹 S – Speech: Is speech slurred, slow, or strange?
🔹 T – Time: Call 9-1-1 immediately if you notice any of these signs!

A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is blocked or reduced, and immediate medical attention is critical to reducing long-term damage. ❤️‍🩹

🩺 Prevention Tips:
✅ Eat a balanced, healthy diet 🍎
✅ Stay physically active 🚶‍♀️
✅ Manage blood pressure and cholesterol 💊
✅ Quit smoking 🚭
✅ Schedule regular health checkups 🩺

Together, we can raise awareness and help protect the health and safety of our Aransas County community. 💪
