I’m proud to announce this year’s Fox Chase National Night Out, hosted by my office, in partnership with the Fox Chase Town Watch and the 2nd and 7th Police Districts, will be on August 4! The event will begin with a community bike ride at 5 PM, starting at the Fox Chase School, and festivities, with food trucks, family fun, and many other vendors, beginning at 6 PM at the Fox Chase School Yard (500 Rhawn St, Philadelphia, PA 19111). I’m excited to celebrate our community and hope to see you there!

The Abington Township Police Department wants to warn our residents of driveway paving scams in the area. These individuals are operating without permits and overcharging for work. In many cases, the suspects will approach homeowners directly and solicit the work, often claiming they have leftover materials or can offer a discounted price for immediate service. We recommend that before you agree to any work, you obtain multiple quotes from reputable contractors and thoroughly verify the credentials of anyone offering services at your home. If you believe you have been the victim of this type of scam or encounter suspicious activity, please contact the Abington Township Police Department to report it. at 267-536-1100.

Old York Road is closed southbound between Old Welsh Road and Rockwell Road due to a vehicle accident. One lane of traffic remains open northbound.
