Whiteside County Senior Center became Dementia Friendly to help raise awareness and compassion for those with dementia and memory loss, and to help build a more supportive community. Our team recently completed training to better support people living with dementia and their care partners. We learned how to understand dementia from the eyes of the person living with it, so we can care for those who may be on this difficult journey. Whiteside County Senior Center is proud to be a part of this important community initiative.

To learn more about this process, and help your community and others become Dementia Friendly, please reach out to one of our Dementia Champions.
