Bostwick Lake Association

Bostwick Lake Association Bostwick Lake is located on the outskirts of Rockford, in Kent County Michigan. The current plan is to reopen the restaurant during the latter part of April.

The purpose of the association is to improve and promote the area on and around Bostwick Lake for the enhancement of the community, its members and their properties. Boat Ramp Launching Procedure for the "Transitional Period" of
March 16 through April 15, 2012

EXPLANATION
As you may have heard, the Bostwick Lake Inn has been leased by the Gilmore Collection. The Inn will not be involved with man

aging the boat ramp. Moving forward, our association has agreed to lease the boat ramp directly from the property owner. Please understand that the Board of Directors is currently working on the details of a final comprehensive plan to manage the boat ramp. This plan should be ready for review at the next general meeting scheduled for April 24th. Until a finalized plan is in place, a temporary procedure will be used during the "transitional period," March 16th through April 15th. So for now, during this "transitional period," we are all asked to follow the procedure outlined below. Thank you for your patience and cooperation! BASIC INFORMATION

The Bostwick Lake Inn will not be involved with boat ramp management. The association will respect the Inn's new business hours by using the ramp only when the Inn is closed. The Inn will now be open for lunch, which is the reason the ramp will need to close earlier than in the past. The BLIA Board of Directors will present a final management plan for the boat ramp to the general membership at the next general meeting scheduled for April 24th, 7:00pm, at the township office building. The governors will no longer be "lending out" the key to anyone. This is an ABSOLUTE requirement! Please respect your governor's need to do his/her job properly. Too many unauthorized copies of the key have been made in the past. PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED DURING THE "TRANSITIONAL PERIOD"

1. Days and times: Friday, Saturday and Sunday; 7:30am through 10:30am (last launch at 10:30); gate locked at 11:00am, or earlier.
2. Members MUST make an appointment with their governor, at least 24 hours in advance, to launch their boat. This appointment needs to be made on the days and during the times as listed above.
3. Those who are launching their boat MUST have paid their dues, and show their 2012 MEMBERSHIP CARD at the time of launching.
4. The governor must keep the key with him/her at all times. The governor will meet the member at the ramp, unlock the gate and relock the gate immediately after the member's boat has been launched.
5. Governors will keep a log of ramp use: member's name, membership card number, date and time.
6. Governors, please print out this form, and give a copy to each member who makes an appointment with you to launch their boat. This document serves to explain our current boat launching procedure.
