It’s happening!!!

Rockford’s newly renovated Krause Memorial Library will open its doors to the public on Saturday, Nov. 21, the city announced this week.

Our hearts are broken upon learning of Dolly Parton’s death. For more than 30 years she actively supported the cause of getting books in the hands of children through her Imagination Library. The world sparkles so much more because she was part of it.

Our Treasurer, Anne Hoekstra, was proud to represent Krause Friends today at Rotary Club of Rockford Michigan’s meeting to accept the trophy for fastest duck at Rockford Rotary’s 2026 Annual Big Daddy Duck Race during Start of Summer. So exciting!!

Look for the trophy in our new ongoing book sale room once the library reopens (tentatively some time in November).

Start of Summer is this weekend! Don’t forget to:
1) Visit us at the Community Cabin for our used book sale (Saturday after the parade until 4pm).
2) Vote for our duck at the Rockford Rotary display supporting local community projects.
