Thank you to everyone who joined us today for the WMVC Community Partners Meeting! Together, we discussed the most pressing issues facing veterans and military families across West Michigan and explored how we can strengthen the support systems that serve them.

We are grateful for the passion, expertise, and collaboration demonstrated by our partners. By working together, we can accomplish far more than any one organization can alone.

Women have served our nation for generations, often overcoming barriers while answering the same call to serve.

On Women Veterans Day, WMVC proudly recognizes the strength, sacrifice, and lasting impact of women veterans. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside so many remarkable women who continue to lead and strengthen our communities long after their military service ends. That's the conversation we'll be having at the West Michigan Veterans Coalition Community Partners Meeting on June 16.

The legacy of D-Day is not measured only in history books. It lives on through the generations of veterans who followed and through the communities that continue to support them.

Today, WMVC honors the Americans who landed in Normandy 82 years ago and recognizes the lasting impact of their courage, sacrifice, and service.

At WMVC, we honor the fallen and recognize the lasting impact their sacrifice has had on our nation, our communities, and the families they left behind. Today, and every day, we remember them.

Yesterday’s Armed Forces Thanksgiving luncheon was a living example of the strength and generosity of our community!

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the turnout, the generosity, and the overwhelming support shown for veterans and military families at this year’s event. Seeing our community come together in such a powerful way was a reminder of what makes West Michigan so special.

From veterans and students to community leaders, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters, thank you for believing in the mission of the West Michigan Veterans Coalition and the importance of continuing to serve those who served.

Here is a small glimpse into an unforgettable day filled with patriotism, connection, and support for our veteran community.

West Michigan will gather tomorrow at the J.W. Marriott for the annual Armed Forces Thanksgiving luncheon, bringing together veterans, civic leaders, students, and community supporters to recognize and support those who have served.

The 2026 event will welcome retired Navy SEAL, Purple Heart Recipient, and bestselling author Marcus Luttrell as the keynote speaker. The luncheon continues to highlight the importance of military service, leadership, and community involvement during Armed Forces Month.
