Attention Voters within the City Limits of Rockford. You will be receiving a new voter registration card to reflect a city-wide redistricting that occurs after every decennial Census. Your ward and polling place may have changed. Please verify your voting information before Election Day, February 25th.

The Rockford Board of Elections would like to clarify a temporary issue this morning that affected voter check-in speeds.

Our vendor, Platinum, experienced a brief issue with a non-critical function, causing check-in times to exceed 30 seconds and, in some cases, leading to timeouts. Volunteers used a backup paper check-in process, and polling places remained open and functional. This issue only impacted check-in speed and did not affect ballots or vote tabulation.

Platinum has addressed the issue, and voter search times are back to normal, under two seconds. They’ve also employed additional measures to better monitor system speed and schedule non-critical functions outside peak voting hours.

We thank our volunteers for managing the backup process and appreciate our voters’ patience.

Attention Voters! Early voting for voters inside the city limits of Rockford is at our main office at 301 S. 6th Street or at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church at 412 N. Church Street. Hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Your assigned polling place based on your address is ONLY open on Election Day from 6 a.m to 7 p.m.

Starting October 21, you can cast your ballot at the Jacob Center for Science and Math at 3301 N. Mulford Road. Don’t forget, early voting is also available at the Board of Elections main building and Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Make your voice heard!
