🚨 Important Issue: Rockford’s Social Security Administration Office at Risk 🚨
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has recommended the closure of Rockford's Social Security Administration (SSA) office. This is a recommendation I strongly oppose, and I’m deeply concerned about its implications.
Social Security benefits serve some of our most vulnerable populations—our elderly community and individuals with disabilities. This office is crucial for providing them with the support, assistance, and benefits they rely on. Closing it would create unnecessary hardship for many who are already facing significant challenges in accessing the resources they need.
As a community, we should be advocating for more accessible services, not fewer. It’s time for us to raise our voices and ensure that everyone, especially those most in need, has the support they deserve. 👥💪
Let’s stand up for Rockford and demand that the SSA office stays open! 🏛️✊
