PSA: From the National Weather Service
FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Western Milam County in central Texas...
* WHEN...Until 600 PM CDT
At 234 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to nearly
stationary thunderstorms across western Milam County. Radar
estimates between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in the past
hour. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in
the advisory area.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cameron, Thorndale, Buckholts, Alcoa Lake, Yarrelton, Sharp, San
Gabriel, Pettibone, Davilla and Val Verde.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
