VOTE APRIL & DONNA NOVEMBER 5th Hello and thanks for visiting! You may remember me as the family whose dog ran away for 6 days in 2016.

I have lived in Rockaway Township, Hibernia section, for the past 10 years. This wonderful town rallied around us and we were reunited with Brandy when she was rescued at the Tilcon quarry! I've always felt a special connection to the compassionate and loving neighbors who surrounding us with an amazing amount of support during that terribly long week and beyond. I would love to give back to the c

ommunity by supporting our children through the Board of Education. Throughout my career as a social worker, I've been committed to providing the highest quality of care to those struggling with various mental health issues. I have seen firsthand how mental health can impact a person's ability to learn, grow and function in the world. Itis a priority to address the mental well-being of our students to enhance their learning experience. I am dedicated to supporting these same principles of care, empathy and understanding within our education system. Your children are my priority. It's easy to remember- Vote APRIL in NOVEMBER!

Thank you for all the support during this election season! To everyone who supported us in our campaign from doorknocking to donations, to putting up and taking down signs, to displaying our signs on your lawns and sharing our platform as well as posts online, for all the kind words we received and to all who voted for us- THANK YOU! We are proud of the campaign we ran, and the message we continue to send- children are the priority! Preserving their innocence, providing quality education, and advocating for family and parental rights. WILDFIRE UPDATE: Craigmeur Lookout Wildfire - Rockaway Twp., Morris County

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service is making progress in containing a wildfire burning in the area of Notch Road in Rockaway Twp., Morris County.

🔥 140 acres
🔥 30% contained

STRUCTURES THREATENED
⚠️ 13 structures threatened
⚠️ 8 structures evacuated on Green Pond Road

ROAD CLOSURES
⚠️ Green Pond Road closed in the area of the the Craigmeur Ski Area.

RESOURCES DEPLOYED
🚒The Forest Fire Service has responded with fire engines, bulldozers and ground crews.
🚁 2 helicopters capable for dropping 350 gallons of water each.
🚒 Structure protection is being provided by local Morris and Passaic county fire departments.

Helpful Wildfire Terminology
🔥 Wildfire - An uncontrolled fire burning the different types of vegetation that cover the land. A wildfire is considered a “major wildfire” after it exceeds 100 acres in size.
🔥 Containment - When reporting on a wildfire a percentage of containment will be given, which will state how much of the fireline has been completed.
🔥 Backfire - A fire intentionally set along the interior edge of a fireline by Forest Fire Service staff to consume fuel in the path of a wildfire and/or to change the direction of force of a fire’s convection column.
🔥 Fireline - The part of a containment or control line that is scraped or dug to mineral soil.
🔥 Threatened - Critical infrastructure, roads, homes and commercial buildings that are in the vicinity of a wildfire.

It was an another successful Dark Lake Spooktacukar! Thanks to Rockaway Borough Parks and Recreation, all the children and families in attendance and our family and friends who helped and showed great support! We ran out of giveaways and candy but it was a fantastic evening! A big THANK YOU to everyone who donated through Project KIND to the WML family in need!! Happy Halloween 🎃 and remember to Vote for Donna (on her birthday) and for April in November Common Sense Education 2024!
