This week elementary G&T students celebrated the last day by enjoying the beautiful weather, spending time together at the park, and cooling off with popsicles! It has been such a fun and memorable year full of creativity, growth, and amazing students. Thank you to all of our families for your support throughout the year! We hope that everyone has a wonderful summer! ☀️

5th grade G&T students did a spectacular job presenting their ecosystem dioramas yesterday! 🌎🌿

Students explored how living things interact within ecosystems, researched food chains, and showcased their understanding through creative and engaging presentations. Their dioramas were especially impressive, bringing each ecosystem to life with detail and creativity! 👏

4th grade G&T students did an amazing job presenting their constellation projects yesterday! 🌟 During this unit, students explored the fascinating mythology behind constellations, selected one to research in depth, wrote an essay, and created impressive 3D models to bring their learning to life.

We also connected our learning to real-world space exploration by discussing the Artemis II mission! 🚀

3rd graders wrapped up their ancient civilizations unit by creating civilizations of their own! Students designed maps, created flags, developed unique systems, and built their communities using LEGO bricks. Today they presented their incredible work, and it was so exciting to see their creativity and big ideas come to life. So proud of their imagination and thoughtful planning! 🌎🏙

5th grade wrapped up their Board Game Design Unit by testing each other’s games and providing thoughtful peer feedback. Students demonstrated incredible creativity, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills throughout this project. I was so impressed with their original ideas! Many of these games truly look store-ready! ♟️🎲

4th grade wrapped up their Tiny Home unit this week! Students stepped into the role of interior designers, architects, and builders by choosing a style, creating blueprints, budgeting for furniture and appliances, and constructing a 3D model of their tiny home. It was amazing to see their problem-solving, planning, and imagination come to life! 💡🏡

Our 6th grade G&T students are learning all about the Renaissance! This week, we explored the different art styles that were popular during this influential time period and learned about Michelangelo and his famous sculptures.
After studying his work, students became artists themselves by carving their own unique designs into bars of soap. 🧼🎨

Today our 6th grade G&T students hosted their own Cardboard Arcade! 🎮✨

Students kicked off this unit by learning about the history of arcade games and exploring creative cardboard arcade examples. From there, they designed their very own games based on some of their favorites. They even created a theme for the arcade, designed a logo, designed our shirts, and ran their own prize booth!

They did an amazing and their creativity and hard work truly shined today! 👏🎉
