Many thanks to our local chefs: Eudell Watts III, Will Clay (P*e Wee's Restaurant), Jerry Bergheger (Riverfront Grille), Diane Stanley (Culinary Arts Center), & Elly Voss (Nest Cafe) for sharing their fabulous culinary talents. Happy almost 151st birthday to Rock Island Public Library! (Ok, it's actually November 25.) Our"Nifty 150: The Next Chapter" party gathered about 75 friends or so on Saturday, Nov. 4 to celebrate early. Thanks to all who joined the Library & Library Foundation party to celebrate a great past AND future! We'd also like to thank all the artists, who created one-of-a-kind bookends for our silent auction. The event was held afterhours at the Library's Watts-Midtown Branch.
