🔥 Burn Ban Lifted 🔥

As of April 13th at 10:00 AM, the burn ban for Colorado County has officially been lifted.

While conditions have improved, we want to remind everyone that outdoor burning should still be done responsibly. Please take the following precautions:

✅ Call in all controlled burns to the Colorado County Sheriff’s Office at 979-732-2388 (Option 1 for Dispatch)
✅ Always keep a water source nearby
✅ Never leave a fire unattended
✅ Avoid burning on windy days

As always, if you see a fire getting out of control, call 911 immediately.

We did a thing today. We have stepped up to help our local small water supply by purchasing 6 brand new fire hydrants for our little unincorporated town. We have a NEW 8” main line coming through town and we will add 3 hydrants on that mainline and we will place 3 more hydrants around town in areas that have no hydrants. This is the first step. We hope to be able to help update other hydrants around town to be able to have working hydrants all around where they can be utilized.

With our monthly fundraising we do with Bingo we are able to provide for our department and also help our local water department with some upgrades.

We are truly honored to have been apart of such a kindhearted act with Lauren Dvorak. This is our first to participate in anything like this. Lauren choose to sell her Grand Champion Lemon Poppyseed Cake for her sale item at the local County Fair with all proceeds going towards the Case Beken Memorial Scholarship.

Thank you Lauren for being you. You are a great role model to the upcoming generation. ❤️
