📚 Help us fill little hands with big stories! ❤️

At EveryChild, our therapy kids ages 0–5 get to choose a book to take home after almost every session. That means roughly 60 books a week are making their way into the hands of children and families!

Books do so much more than teach kids to read. They help children:
❤️ Build emotional vocabulary
🧠 Learn self-regulation
🤝 Develop empathy and social skills
💬 Strengthen communication
👩‍👧 Build connection with caregivers

For children who have experienced trauma, a book can be a tool for healing, connection, comfort—and simply being a kid. 🥰

We’re looking for new or gently used books appropriate for ages 0–5 to keep this program going!

📖 Have books to donate? We’d love to put them in the hands of a little reader! You can drop books off at our office at 420 23rd Street in Rock Island Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

60 books a week. So many opportunities to connect, learn, heal and grow. ❤️

💙 CASA ADVOCACY IN ACTION!

We’re proud to see the impact of EveryChild’s CASA program highlighted by CASA Illinois!

When three siblings were navigating the uncertainty of being in foster care, their CASA advocate helped them understand their rights under the Illinois Youth in Care Bill of Rights—and, just as importantly, helped empower them to maintain meaningful relationships during a challenging time.

Every child deserves to have their voice heard, their rights understood, and an advocate in their corner. That’s what CASA is all about. 💙

Every child who has experienced abuse or neglect in our state deserves to understand their rights and feel empowered to be their own advocate.

This month, we're highlighting a story about how a local CASA program's advocacy helped three siblings understand the Illinois Youth in Care Bill of Rights, and empowered the children to maintain important relationships during uncertain times.
