πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‚ Happy Birthday, Mr. Sanders! πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰

We had SO much fun celebrating our new Assistant Principal, Mr. Sanders, and his very first birthday here at Lesslie Elementary! πŸ’›πŸ–€

From pictures and birthday banners throughout the school to a decorated office, we made sure Mr. Sanders felt the Lesslie love today! And of course, we couldn’t stop there… our staff even dressed like him in their best button-down shirts and ties! πŸ‘”πŸ˜‚

There were plenty of smiles, laughs, and surprises all day long. What a fun way to celebrate Mr. Sanders’ first birthday as part of our Lesslie family!

Happy Birthday, Mr. Sanders! We’re so glad you’re a Hornet! πŸπŸ’›πŸ–€πŸŽˆ

🎢 Legacy Lab was full of music today at Lesslie! 🎢

Our 3rd–5th graders had a special visit from folk musician Larry Dimick, who shared his personal collection of instruments along with stories and a little musical history! Students got an up-close look at instruments including the dulcimer, ukulele, tenor banjo, and more. πŸͺ•πŸŽ΅

Mr. Dimick even invited a few volunteers from the audience to form their own little band and play a song that many of our students recognized! ❀️

Meanwhile, our K–2 students explored music in a different wayβ€”through music and movement! They had a great time learning, moving, and experiencing how music can bring people together.

It was such a fun day of learning, listening, moving, and making music together at Lesslie! πŸπŸ’›πŸ–€

πŸ’› Lesslie is proud to support the Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation! πŸ’›

Today, Lesslie teachers joined more than 1,300 Rock Hill Schools employees in sporting their bright Educator Campaign shirts! More importantly, they joined together to show their support for one another, our students, and their belief in the incredible work of the Rock Hill Schools Education Foundation.

We’re proud to be part of a district that believes in supporting educators and investing in our schools! πŸπŸ’›

We hope you join us next Monday for our first parent education night of the school year! This session is called "Parent Advocacy and Kitchen Table Convos." We will have honest discussions about how you can be more involved as a parent and provide strategies to help you continue advocating for your child as they start the school year. This will be a true learning session. Childcare will be provided between 5:30 and 6:30 to allow adults to have honest and open conversations with one another and our panelists. Our panelists will include our Family Outreach Associate, district academic interventionist, RHS Director of Elementary Exceptional Student Education, RHS Director of Behavioral Services, and RHS Assistant Director of ParentSMART.

Click the link below to RSVP and to submit a question for the panel to answer anonymously. RSVPs will help us plan accordingly.
