Today we had the opportunity to stand by at Monticello High School for a prom drill focused on the very real dangers of impaired driving. These simulations may only last a short time, but the message behind them is lifelong.

In EMS, we see firsthand how quickly one decision can change everything; not just for the driver, but for passengers, families, and entire communities. What might seem like “just one ride” or “just one drink” can end in tragedy.

Events like this aren’t meant to scare individuals but they’re meant to prepare, educate, and remind everyone that every choice matters. Prom should be a night full of memories for the right reasons.

Plan ahead. Stay safe. Look out for each other.

🚨🐺 Wolf Den of Heroes 🐺🚨

This month, we’re proud to honor Gavin Shupe — a high school student and member of the Rock Hill Volunteer Ambulance Corps — as our newest Wolf Den of Heroes inductee. When his school bus driver suffered a medical emergency, Gavin stepped up without hesitation, helping protect a bus full of students with incredible courage and quick thinking. 💛

Thanks to the support of Rutberg Breslow Personal Injury Law, we’re honored to award Gavin and our other Den of Heroes inductees a $500 cash prize in recognition of their bravery and dedication to others.

Know a first responder who deserves to be recognized next? 👇
Nominate them for the Wolf Den of Heroes for a chance to be featured and receive a $500 cash award — link in the comments!

Happy Birthday Dr. Kaplan!

Thanks for keeping RHVAC in line, keeping us laughing, and reminding us daily that medicine is serious… but you definitely aren’t.
Hope your birthday is full of cake, laughs, and zero ambulance calls today. 🎉🚑

A huge thank you to Chris Edwards, owner of Giant HVAC Services, for coming to the rescue at RHVAC today.
We had no heat in the building. Chris came right over, quickly found the problem, and got us back on track. His fast response and professionalism made all the difference.
We are so grateful for local businesses that support their community and first responders when it matters most.
Shop local. Support the people who support us.
Thank you again, Chris!

❄️ Winter Storm Safety Reminder ❄️

With the impending snowstorm, please remember to shovel walkways and driveways and keep clear access to your home. This helps keep your family safe and allows our EMS crews to respond quickly and safely when needed 🚑

If possible, please stay off the roads during the storm. We understand that people still need to travel for work, use extreme caution, slow down, and allow extra time.

🧊 Shoveling safety matters:
• Take frequent breaks
• Shovel often so snow doesn’t build up all at once
• Pace yourself and avoid overexertion

Your cooperation helps protect our community and our first responders.
Stay safe and stay warm 💙
