Tuesday night at the city council meeting, Matt Oswalt was presented with his Captains badge. Matt was officially promoted to the position of Captain in January. B-shift was also presented with life saving awards for a cardiac arrest call that occurred this past November. Congratulations and Job Well Done Gentleman!!!

As we move into the summer driving season, Bobby’s Crash Foundation wants to remind everyone that one decision behind the wheel can change everything.

This photo represents more than vehicles and uniforms. They represent the real people who respond when a crash happens, law enforcement, fire, EMS, Air Crews, and even those who are called when someone does not make it home.

We are thankful for the support and involvement of OSF Life Flight, CGH Medical Center, Illinois State Police, Whiteside County Sheriff's Office, Rock Falls Fire Department, McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory. Each of them plays a role in helping show the full reality of what can happen after a serious crash.

Brennen’s story is a reminder that unsafe choices behind the wheel do not just affect the driver. They affect families, friends, first responders, and entire communities.

Slow down. Buckle up. Put the phone away. Make good choices.
