❤️🐾 Sometimes, the ones who help us through the hardest times have four paws.

Maybe they stayed close when you were struggling, made you laugh on a day when you needed it most, or simply gave you a reason to keep moving forward.

Today, we want to celebrate those special pets.

Our dogs run on Dunkin. Bruno was the first to arrive and he waited patiently (sort of) for his morning bacon. He ate a doughnut while waiting. The perks of being first. He was so excited when Howard came out with a fresh bag for him. Clark came next and he sat and took his bacon gently. Then came Bruce. I was not there for Bruce's treat, so his photo is from a different day, lest you think that Carol had a wardrobe change. ☕🐾 Clark Runs on Dunkin’… and KONGS! 🐾☕
Our handsome boy Clark was off on an adventure, and there was no way he was leaving his favorite KONG behind! Just look at that happy face.

These little outings give our shelter dogs a chance to get away from the kennel, explore the world, have some fun, and show everyone just how special they are.

Could Clark be the one you’ve been waiting for?

Yesterday was a wild one with torrential rains, severe thunderstorms, flash flood warnings, and reports of tornadoes. We have ongoing "storms" brewing at the Greece Animal Shelter.

What can community members do to prepare and mitigate damage?
* Check your home to see if you have a dog or need an additional one.
* Visit https://greeceny.gov/departments/animal-services/animal-services-pet-adoption/
* Submit an application to get pre-approved to adopt
* Submit a request for a specific dog
* Call 585-581-4025 or visit 500 Maiden Lane to meet the adoptable barkers.
* Take a dog home, provide love and enrichment, and witness the storm abatement.

Help us get her back home!

UPDATE: No one claimed her. We named her Panda and she has been transferred to one of our rescue partner organizations for additional vet attention, foster care, and eventual adoption.

INITIAL POST: This cat was found in the area of Milford St and Bonesteel St. She looks like a Siamese seal point. Does she belong to you or someone you know? Call our office at 585-581-4025.
