Celebrating Our Leaders!

On Wednesday, May 6th, the Hiawatha Valley Teachers United (HVTU) hosted its 2026 Leadership Recognition Ceremony. It was an incredible night dedicated to honoring some of the most hard-working, passionate educators and staff in our region!

It was great to speak with teachers and school staff from Hiawatha Valley Teachers United last week. I shared our campaign’s vision to end the tariffs and wars that are driving up costs, and instead invest in the healthcare and schools that small towns like Dover and Eyota need to thrive.
