Support for Community Wildlife Projects – Apply Now!

The Taking Action for Wildlife team – a partnership between UNH Cooperative Extension, NH Fish & Game, and the NH Association of Conservation Commissions – offers direct technical assistance to communities interested in incorporating wildlife and habitat information into their land conservation, land-use planning, land stewardship, and education/outreach. This year we are accepting applications on a rolling basis, so communities can apply whenever they are interested. There is no fee for this assistance. Brownfields Funding Available and Ready!

Does your community have a property that has known or perceived contamination? SRPC has readily available funding to conduct a Phase I Site Assessment to identify the potential for contamination, followed by a Phase 2 Assessment to determine the next steps, pinpoint the source and extent, and make recommendations for further action. For sites that have completed Phase I and II assessments, we can also prepare a cleanup and redevelopment plan. This work will be completed at no cost to the community and is fully funded by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
