Research Study on
Mother-Child Relationships

The Rochester Center for Research on Children and Families at the University of Rochester is conducting a study on child development and mother-child relationships. Both children and their mothers will participate in a 2.5 hour research session at University of Rochester. Mothers will be asked information about themselves, their child, their family, th

eir neighborhood, and will complete some challenging computer tasks while their child participates in some structured games. Also, mothers and their child will complete parent-child interaction tasks. To be eligible for this study:
• You must be between the ages of 20 and 50 years of age.
• Your child must be 5 years old
• Your child must not have a medical illness or disability.
• You must have no history of family involvement with Child Protective Services

Project Connect is a collaborative effort to develop new technologies that provide an in-depth look at how toddlers deal with common but stressful situations, such as being briefly separated from a parent.
