Providing resources and services to families and children in Rochester, WA. ROOF is a multi-service agency supporting children and families.

ROOF Community Services is a non-profit organization founded in and focused on the Rochester, WA community since 1993. The Kids' Place After-School and Summer Program provides academic and social skill building to 50 Kindergarten-5th grade low-income students referred by school personnel. The Food Bank provides a well balanced supplemental food program as well as basic necessities for families in

the Rochester School District area. We distribute approximately 300,000 pounds of food each year. Annual projects include Operation Santa-a holiday gift giving program for children in need fueled by community donations- and a Back to School Supplies Drive which ensures students have school supplies and a backpack to be ready for school. Other services include utility and rental assistance vouchers, vouchers for small home or car repairs, help with items needed for employment and health, and more. THANK YOU to all of the community members who donated money, school supplies, and backpacks to ROOF Community Services' annual Back to School Supplies Drive! A special shout out to Little Red Schoolhouse Project for their school supplies donation each year and the Rochester, WA Lions Club for their generous monetary donation. 250 Rochester kids (so far!) have benefitted from your support.👏👏👏

We are getting excited for ROOF Community Services' annual school supplies distribution and resource fair this Thursday, August 20th! Here’s what will be happening:

🍎School Supplies and backpacks will be given out to Rochester School District K-12th graders who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch from 10-3. Please bring proof of enrollment in Rochester schools (the school app is great for this!).

🍎Agencies with information about health, education, literacy, and community resources will be tabling from 10-12 (some groups will stay later). Please plan to spend some time visiting to get resources and information!

🍎Car seat checks and a limited number of car seats if needed will be available from 10-2. Make sure your children are riding in the safest way possible!

🍎Thurston County Public Health and Social Services will be hosting a vaccine clinic open to all Thurston County children from 10-2.

🌞 Looking for a fun, active, and enriching summer opportunity for your child? ROOF Community Services' FREE Kids’ Place Summer Program has spots available!
🎨⚽📚 Open to Rochester School District students entering 1st–5th grade who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals, this program keeps kids engaged all summer long with a variety of daily activities and weekly field trips.
