Southeastern Minnesota Emergency Medical Services is bringing back a trauma workshop that is anything but your average conference!

This is trauma education stripped back to the basics. No fancy conference rooms. No endless PowerPoints. No business casual. No distractions.

Just EMS providers, experienced educators, hands-on learning, real-world trauma skills, and the outdoors. 🌲🚑

Rain, shine, sleet or snow — we're going back to the fundamentals of pre-hospital trauma care and learning from experts in the field.

💰 Pay Range: $31.12 - $32.33 / hour (Starting pay based on qualifications & experience)

What You'll Do:
✨ Lead & design EMS curriculum.
✨ Supervise field new hires and evaluate competency.
✨ Oversee the department's QA/QI program.

What You Need:
📍3+ years of EMS clinical experience, 2+ years of teaching experience or equivalent combination of both.
🎓 Associate's degree or higher.
🪪 National Registry, MN State, & WI Paramedic licenses (WI within 30 days).
📋 DOT Instructor & AHA CPR Instructor certifications.
💪 Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work rotating 12-hour shifts.

👉In partnership with Spring Valley Area Ambulance, we are conducting a Hybrid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course; Virtually with In-Person Skills Days right down in Spring Valley, MN!

📅Courses to be held September 24, 2026 to December 19, 2026.

⏰Join our weekly Virtual Meetings, Thursdays (7PM-9PM) and Skills/Scenario Days Saturday (9AM- 12PM)

🤏Not looking for the full EMT Course, we will be running a concurrent Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course; same time, same days, reduced price, with different curriculum requirements!

🩺Are you a Registered Nurse (RN) looking to give back to your community and volunteer on your local First Responder or Ambulance Service? We got you covered! We'll also have RN-to-EMT options for the course; condensed curriculum, skills/scenario days, and Field Experiences with local Ambulance Services, all with that beloved reduced price!

👉In EMS, Fire, Law Enforcement, and the community, out-of-hospital cardiac arrests often involve teamwork between dispatchers, bystanders, first responders, law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS.

Taking the time to recognize that team reinforces the importance of their actions and reminds them that their work truly matters. Recognition plays an important role in recruitment and retention. People want to know that their efforts are noticed and appreciated. Celebrating lifesaving accomplishments builds morale, strengthens pride in the organization, and encourages providers to continue answering the call.
