Monroe County is committed to ensuring every voter can access the ballot in their language.

Under the Voting Rights Act, Monroe County is required to have bilingual Spanish inspectors at 112 polling sites. For voters who speak another language, every polling site is equipped with a language access device that connects registered voters to an interpreter.

On September 15, RMAPI and our partners are mobilizing across Monroe County for National Voter Registration Day. We're encouraging individuals and organizations across our community to host Pop-Up Voter Registration events where people already live, work, learn, worship and gather.

Your Pop-Up doesn't have to be complicated. Set up a table. Engage your staff, clients, students, members, neighbors or visitors. Help someone register — or ask someone who's already registered, “Are you ready to vote?”

National Poll Worker Recruitment Day is a National Day of Action established by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission to inspire civic engagement and encourage people to sign up to be poll workers, including bilingual election inspectors. National Poll Worker Recruitment Day is an opportunity to recruit more Election Inspectors & Bilingual Election Inspectors and expand Civic duty across Monroe County.
Five public recruitment pop-ups events will be held to inspire residents to sign up to serve as Election Inspectors & Bilingual Election Inspectors for upcoming elections. Voter Information, on-site assistance, and sign-
up opportunities will also be available.
