Fulton County Solid Waste District will be closed Friday, July 3rd & Saturday, July 4th in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. We will re-open on Monday, July 6th @ 8:00am.
Please understand that during this time our recycling bins will probably fill up fast. If you can try to bring in your recycling to our facility before we close on Thursday, July 2nd @ 4:00pm, to help minimize the overload at our drop off sites, we would appreciate it!
AS ALWAYS……PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANY ITEMS ON THE GROUND AT OUR DROP-OFF LOCATIONS!!!!
If the trailers do fill up, we ask that you please hold on to your recycling until we re-open. We will make every effort to make sure the drop-off bins out front of our facility are emptied so you can use them in the event the other drop-off sites are full.
We appreciate all of our wonderful recyclers, and we wish everyone a Safe and Happy 4th of July holiday! 🎇

**Recycling Center Position Available**

The Fulton County Solid Waste District has an opening for one full-time employee in the Recycling Center. A current drivers’ license, a clear driving record, a high school diploma or GED required, and must be able to pass a drug test. Applicant must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. with no restrictions. $22.94 per hour starting pay (after the 180 day probation period. During the probation period pay will be $21.10), Health Insurance w/ Employer funded HSA account, and PERF Retirement. Vacation/Sick days & 13 paid holidays a year. Hours are Monday thru Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm, and this position requires some (1-2 Saturdays a month) Saturday hours (7am to noon). Applications can be picked up between 8am and 4pm Monday-Friday or 8am until noon on Saturdays, at the Fulton County Solid Waste District Recycling Center located at 1452 Wentzel Street in Rochester. Applications accepted until April 22nd, 2026.

The recycling center will be closed tomorrow 1/26/26. Please stay safe and warm. All drop off locations will be emptied starting Tuesday/ Wednesday.

Christmas Holiday Hours:

We will be closed December 24th & 25th for Christmas. We will re-open on Friday, December 26th @ 8:00 am to 4pm. We will also be open on Saturday, December 27th from 8am to noon.

New Years Holiday Hours:

We will be closed January 1st for New Years. We will re-open on Friday, January 2nd @ 8:00 am to 4pm. We will also be open on Saturday, January 3rd from 8am to noon.

***PLEASE SHARE***

We are happy to be teaming up with Mike's Trash LLC, in the collection of old pumpkins and gourds. This is a free disposal service offered now through December 1ST.
REMEMBER......this is for disposal of pumpkins & gourds, not a trash disposal program. This roll-off is under 24-hour video surveillance and if this program is abused, we will remove the roll-off.

Please help us in collecting pumpkins and gourds to keep these items from going to the landfill.
