An area of low pressure will move across the area today with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing this afternoon and evening. There is a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5) of severe thunderstorms for areas south of Lake Ontario, with isolated strong to damaging wind gusts the primary risk, and a lesser threat of large hail.

There is a marginal risk for severe weather across areas south of Lake Ontario this afternoon through this evening, and a marginal risk for locally heavy rainfall for the entire region this afternoon into tonight. Main window for severe storms will be from 2 PM through 9 PM, with strong to damaging wind gusts the main threat.
