Monroe County STOP DWI & Traffic Safety and Monroe County Clerk Jamie Romeo call on High School students in our community to showcase their creativity and impact change with our spring 2026 PSA Contest!
Students pick the type of media and the message,
we pick the winners and help promote the PSA. The
goal with the PSA will be to educate our community on the importance of safe driving choices during what is known nationally as the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer between Memorial and Labor Day holidays! With this we want to encourage safety and the desire for no more deaths with “100 Days of Safe Summer Roads”!

Rochester Hope kiddos had a great time today at the Bike Rodeo, hosted by Monroe County Executive Adam J. Bello and Monroe County STOP DWI & Traffic Safety with a visit by the mounted patrol from the Rochester Police Department!

The rodeo taught bike skills with a practice course at the The Salvation Army Rochester, NY, across the street from Rochester Hope. Each child was fitted with a bike helmet and five children won a bike from the raffle sponsor by Delta Sonic Car Wash.

Thank you to every organization and team member who helped make this a great event for our community's children. Thank you to our parents and a HUGE thank you to all the kids who participated, truly you bring joy to our community.

Los niños de Rochester Hope la pasaron muy bien el fin de semana pasado en el Rodeo de Bicicletas, organizado por Monroe County Executive Adam J. Bello y Monroe County STOP DWI & Traffic Safety, tuvieron una visita de la policía montada del Departamento de Policía de la ciudad!

El rodeo incluyó enseñanza de diferentes habilidades en bicicleta con un curso de práctica ofrecido por The Salvation Army Rochester, NY, al otro lado de la calle de Rochester Hope. Cada niño recibió un casco de bicicleta y seis niños ganaron una bicicleta en la rifa patrocinada por Delta Sonic Car Wash.

Gracias a cada organización y miembro del equipo que ayudó a que este evento fuera un gran éxito para los niños de nuestra comunidad. Gracias a nuestros padres y un ENORME agradecimiento a todos los niños que participaron, realmente ustedes traen alegría a nuestra comunidad.

A great event for cyclists on Friday!

Rochester Bike Week continues with National Bike to Work Day on Friday! Rochester residents are fortunate to have an average 4.1-mile commute to work, which is about 25 minutes by bike or scooter at a casual pace. To thank people cycling to work on May 15th, we'll have munchies to share and celebrate those who get to work on two wheels. Swing by, fuel up, and talk cycling with our dedicated team.
