A friend messaged me this morning about the endorsement from the previous mayor to Norm Wahl who is also running for Ward 3. He was curious about how I felt about it.

What matters to me is if ward 3 residents trust and believe in me, that's really all I care about. I'm not easily swayed or controlled by others, never have or will. I do enjoy listening and contemplating others thoughts and ideas. I find the term politician dirty. So, I will use Public Servant, because that what I would like to be remembered as, not a politician.

On Monday, the City Council will be addressing a change in Code of Conduct. This potentially will restrict how and when a Council Member will be able to interact with City Management. I have concerns about the overreach of limiting our representatives from interacting on our behalf. Please be aware that this is happening and contact you Council Member. It can be downloaded from the agenda packet starting on page 797-800.

Life is a constant learning lesson and I love to learn! I love knowledge and all it can do to enhance your life and help others. I would love to represent Ward 3 and use my knowledge to make our Ward the best it can be. My wife frequently comments that my second home is downtown Rochester. I have spent a great deal of my life ,downtown in collaboration with with all the entities that it takes to run a city like Rochester, Mn. I believe now is the time to become more involved at a higher level.

142 parks, 3200 acres, 81 playgrounds, 85 miles of trails, just to start. 26% canopy cover in Rochester with a national average of 27%. Foresty Services recommend.

We definitely first need a new aquatic center to meet our city's needs and size.s 40%. Let's improve what we have, get our pools to our city's level, and then start new projects.
