Dear Avondale Staff and Families,
We would like to provide an update regarding the water main break that occurred during the early morning hours of May 10 in the City of Auburn Hills. This issue is currently affecting water service in portions of Auburn Hills and Rochester Hills, including several of our district buildings.
At this time, we are working closely with city officials and our Facilities team to actively monitor the situation and assess any impact on our schools and operations. The safety and well-being of our students and staff remains our top priority as we continue evaluating conditions within our buildings.
We understand families and staff may have questions regarding school operations, closures, or schedule adjustments. We will provide additional communication and any decisions regarding school schedules as soon as information becomes available and we are able to make informed determinations. We will also continue to share information regarding available resources for affected families as we receive updates from Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) and local officials.
