Congratulations Islee Rae and runner up Lucy. They all were amazing, and hope they come back next year. This is one of my favorite events every year. Im proud of all of them and the final scores were the closest I've ever seen. Thank you LHHF & Kiwanis for allowing me to be a small part of the event. (And the Kiwanis hot dog meal was great too 🌭 !!

Notice of Road Closure!!

On Tuesday, August 18, 2026, Rochelle Municipal Utilities will be locating a water main break requiring a lane closure of the eastbound lane of RT 38 from the100 block of N. 15th St, south of the BNSF Railroad crossing, to the intersection of Lincoln Ave and N. 14th St.

The railroad crossing will be impacted by the lane closure. Flaggers will be on-site directing traffic.

If it is possible, please plan to take an alternate route. If you must travel in this area, please use caution and expect delays. We appreciate your patience as we make these restorations promptly and safely.

Dixon, Oregon, Amboy, Franklin Grove, Ashton, Lost Nation, Sublette, Woodhaven Lakes, Grand Detour, Nelson, Harmon, Woodland Shores, Eldena, Woosung, Lee Center, Chana, and Nachusa.

Although I was disappointed in the turnout, it was a great presentation on energy saving programs, as well as what we, as a City, need to be considering moving forward to continue to maintain affordable, sustainable power for our residents, commercial and industrial customers. We are blessed to own our own utilities, let's all work together to keep it that way. Thanks to Blake Toliver and his entire staff at RMU for coordinating tonight's event.
