Rochelle Railroad Park Official page of the first purpose-built railroad park! The Park, including restrooms, is open 24/7.

Gift Shop Hours:
Wednesday-Saturday 10am-5pm beginning April 6th

The Park features free WiFi, scanner feed, and there are ATCS monitors at the gift shop. The gift shop now features picture windows facing both the BNSF and UP mainlines. There are plenty of picnic tables and benches under cover, electrical outlets, potable water, plus a grill and fire pit. All facilities except the hobo jungle/fire pit are wheelchair accessible. Ken Wise, founder of the Rochelle Railroad Park has a big birthday coming up and his family would love to present him with cards from rail fans who enjoy his creation! Photos are welcome too.

Ken will turn 89 1/2 years young this year and the family is excited to shower him with cards.

Parking is available in the grassy lot to the south of the park and on the side streets surrounding the park. Please be courteous of the residents driveway access and private property.

The countdown is on! Tomorrow, the legendary Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 rolls into Rochelle Railroad Park!

The train is expected to arrive at 3:00 p.m., and we can't wait to welcome railfans from near and far for this special event.

While you're here, be sure to grab a bite to eat from our food vendors:

The Railroad Park Gift Shop will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Stop in to browse our selection of railroad-themed gifts and pick up exclusive Big Boy merchandise while supplies last!

🎨Free face painting will be available from 8-5!

Feel free to bring your lawn chairs and settle in for a day of train watching as we await Big Boy's arrival.

A reminder that parking will be available throughout the surrounding neighborhoods and in the grassy lot to the south of the park. Please be courteous to our residents by parking legally, avoiding driveways and mailboxes, and respecting private property.
