This week, Mayor Miller met with local Scout Troop 114 to discuss how the improper disposal of baby wipes can negatively impact our sewer system and create environmental challenges in our community. This is a recurring issue regularly encountered by our DPW.

As part of their investigation into a local environmental issue, the Scouts shared creative and innovative ideas focused on education, outreach, and public awareness to help inform residents about why wipes should never be flushed.

The Township looks forward to partnering with the Scouts and recruiting their help in educating the community as we work together to protect our environment and sewer system.

NBC New York recently toured the Bergen County Public Safety Operations Center. As Rochelle Park prepares for its transition to county dispatch services, residents can take a behind the scenes look at the facility, its state of the art technology, and its operations.

They’ve spent millions on needed upgrades as more towns turn to the county to take over its emergency dispatch services. News 4’s Adam Harding offers a closer look at the renovations.

Great news, Rochelle Park!

Rochelle Park has been awarded a $10,000 Sustainable Jersey Grant funded by the PSE&G Foundation to support improvements to our Community Garden at Carlock Field. We look forward to making significant updates to the garden this summer.

Thank you to Environmental Commission Chair Michael Warren for his advocacy in securing this grant and helping move this project forward.
