Over 100° outside, and these guys are still putting in the work!

This afternoon, our firefighters conducted hose drills in extreme heat, continuing to train, stay fit, and prepare for the calls that come their way.

Training in these conditions isn’t easy, but their commitment to staying ready and serving our community never stops.

City of Robstown Emergency Management

We are closely monitoring the area of low pressure currently located in the Gulf.

We will continue to monitor its development and movement and keep our community informed as more information becomes available.

Please stay weather aware and follow the Robstown Fire Department for official updates.

We're still monitoring the area of low pressure over the northern Gulf which now has a 70% chance of development through the next few days. While most impacts will be along the Upper Texas/Louisiana coastlines, there will be increased chances for rainfall north of Port Aransas. Keep on checking back for the latest updates.

NOTICE TO OUR COMMUNITY

Update phone lines and electricity have been restored at the fire station.

Our phone lines at the Robstown Fire Station are temporarily out of service due to the electrical power being disconnected while we connect our new generator.

Please be assured that this will NOT affect our emergency response times. Our firefighters and emergency response operations remain fully operational.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We will notify the community once our phone lines are back in service.

Hurricane season is here—now is the time to prepare.

If you or a loved one may need extra assistance during an emergency or evacuation, consider registering with the State of Texas Emergency Assistance Registry (STEAR).

STEAR is a free, voluntary registry that helps local emergency officials identify residents who may need additional assistance when planning for disasters such as hurricanes, floods, or other emergencies.

We are getting closer to the peak of hurricane season, and now is the time to make sure you and your family are prepared.

The Robstown Fire Department encourages everyone to:

• Sign up for the STEAR Program if you or someone in your household may need additional assistance during an emergency or evacuation.

• Sign up for ReverseAlert to receive important emergency notifications, weather alerts, and evacuation information.

• Have an emergency plan and emergency supply kit ready.

• Stay informed and monitor official weather information.

• Check on family members, friends, and neighbors who may need additional assistance.

Don’t wait until a hurricane is approaching. Be prepared now.
