Do you know someone age 50 or older who would enjoy helping a child build confidence and succeed in reading and math? 📚✨

Oasis Intergenerational Tutoring pairs volunteers age 50 and older with students in grades K-3 for one-on-one support each week throughout the school year. Volunteers may work with one child or several students, serving as tutors, mentors, and friends while helping students strengthen their reading and math skills and build meaningful relationships.

Volunteer training will be held Thursday, October 8, from 9:00am to 3:00pm at the MVR-III Central Office.

What a great way to kick off the school year! Our first all-school assembly was full of energy, smiles, and school spirit as we reviewed our five core values with Dr. Watson. 💜🤍

Students and Teachers had a blast playing our team-bonding game, 4 Corners, while making new friends and getting to know one another. We’re off to a GREAT start, Braves—here’s to a year full of kindness, curiosity, service, responsibility, and problem-solving!

💛 Kindergarten Feelings Check-In! 🌈

Today, our kindergarteners learned that all feelings are okay and that we can learn to name and recognize what we’re feeling. Using A Little SPOT of Feelings, students practiced identifying different emotions and talking about how feelings can look and feel in our bodies.

We’re building big feelings vocabulary so our little Braves can better understand themselves and communicate their emotions!
