Absentee-by-Mail begins today. The deadline to request an Absentee ballot is October 20, 2026. (Military/Overseas deadline is November 2, 2026.) You may request your absentee via portal by visiting votebymail.ncsbe.gov
Completed Absentee Ballots must be received by our office by 7:30 pm, November 3, Election Day.

Absentee voting begins today! 🗳️ County boards of elections are now mailing ballots to North Carolinians who requested them for the November general election.

GCBOE will be having their August regular meeting on Thursday, August 13th, 2026 due to staff & board being out of town at NCSBE summer conference on the scheduled date

GCBOE will be having a meeting to certify Soil & Water candidates on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026. Meeting time will be at 5:00 pm at the GCBOE office, 196 Knight St., Suite A.
