Over 20 years later, Jamie Pennโ€™s murder remains unsolved.

On August 16, 2005, the 23-year-old was found shot to death inside his SUV on Thomas Avenue NW. The vehicle was still running, and investigators believe the perpetrator was sitting in the passenger seat when the shots were fired.

For two decades, Jamieโ€™s family has lived without answers, but someone out there knows what happened that night.

June is Gun Violence Awareness Month, and we remain committed to seeking justice for the Penn family.

If you have any information, share it with detectives by calling RPD at (540) 344-8500. Even the smallest detail could be the key to finally solving Jamie Pennโ€™s murder and bringing answers to his loved ones.
