For 125 years, FSRV has been showing up for families in the Roanoke Valley — but we realize a lot of you may not know exactly what we do. Let's change that.

Family Service of Roanoke Valley is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families as they journey toward emotional wellness, healthy relationships, and a future filled with hope.

From counseling and youth development to programs that support and protect vulnerable adults, we've been a quiet but steady presence in this community since 1901. And 91 cents of every dollar we receive goes directly to program expenses, because the people we serve deserve nothing less.

Also, our fundraising event last night at A Few Old Goats Brewing - Roanoke, was amazing! The room was packed and we told our FSRV story to so many of the attendees! (Some FSRV trivia was even included in their weekly contest)! We are most grateful to the AFOG team for all of their support!

We are celebrating our 125th Anniversary this year! We serve more than 2,000 individuals annually with professional and compassionate care.

Our services include counseling for all ages including child centered play therapy, youth development programs for elementary through high school, public guardianship, personal affairs management, and healthy relationship groups.
