We knocked on another 140 doors today in the Lafayette township this morning. Can anyone in the district confirm whether my opponent has knocked on a single door at this point? If he doesn't want to campaign, maybe he should drop out like he tried to do pre-primary.

Real issues, not conspiracy theories: Over the past four years, my opponent Lorissa Sweet has filed 22 bills in the State House with none of them becoming law. This at a time when Republicans control EVERYTHING. Why? One of them would ban "chemtrails," those white lines of exhaust you see behind airplanes. It's a favorite talking point of QAnon conspiracy theorists, who believe the "deep state" is using contrails to turn your children trans. Sounds ridiculous, doesn't it?

I'll let Lorissa worry about internet conspiracy theories. I'm focused on the issues that actually affect your life.

While in office, Sweet supported $8 billion in tax incentives for data centers, and let those same data centers pass their utility costs on to you, the ratepayer. Data centers can get a 7% sales-tax exemption on qualified utility costs. Hoosier families can't: Sweet voted against giving everyday Hoosiers that same sales-tax exemption on their own utility bills.

HOW I WILL FIGHT FOR YOU:

- Instead of giving tax breaks to data centers, use those funds to support our families from property tax increases

- A childcare tax credit for Hoosier families

- Restoring childcare vouchers for struggling Hoosiers

- Stopping school vouchers for the wealthiest Hoosiers at the expense of our public schools

- Making homeownership affordable again, and stopping hedge funds from buying up single-family homes and driving prices higher

I'm running for State Representative because Hoosier families deserve a legislator who's laser-focused on real issues... not chemtrail bans.

Those numbers come from the **same 2026 CNBC study** — America’s Top States for Business. CNBC scored all 50 states using 138 metrics across 10 categories.

And “Quality of Life” is not just about whether people like living here.

CNBC looks at real factors that affect Hoosiers every day, including: crime, air quality, healthcare, the cost and availability of childcare, worker protections, protections against discrimination, voting rights and election security, and reproductive rights.

That is what makes this 38-place gap so important.

Indiana can be highly competitive for business while still scoring near the bottom on the things that determine whether people can build a life here, raise a family here, work here, stay healthy here, and have a voice here.

Being good for business and being good for Hoosiers should not be competing goals.
