After 42 years with Roanoke FireEMS, Captain Kenny Furrow has officially hung up his boots and begun a well-earned retirement.
His service to the City of Roanoke spans an incredible 47 years, beginning in 1979 when he started running EMS as a 16-year-old EMT with the Williamson Road Life Saving Crew. In 1984, he joined what was then the Roanoke Fire Department, dedicating the next four decades to serving and protecting our community.
While his shifts may be over, the legacy he leaves behind will continue to be felt throughout Roanoke Fire-EMS for years to come.
Congratulations on your retirement, and thank you for 47 years of service to the City of Roanoke, Virginia.
