🚨 NEW COMMUNITY SAFETY INITIATIVE 🚨

First Responder Awareness Sticker Program
The Roanoke Rapids Police Department, alongside the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office and the Enfield Police Department, is proud to launch a program designed to better protect individuals with special needs in our community.
đź’™ Why This Matters:
In an emergency, every second—and every detail—matters. These awareness stickers alert first responders that someone at a residence or in a vehicle may have conditions such as Autism, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or other cognitive impairments.
This simple tool helps responders approach situations with greater understanding, ensuring safer, more effective care while reducing the risk of confusion or escalation.
📍 Program Highlights:
✔️ Up to 3 stickers per qualifying individual
✔️ 1 for the home (near the front entrance)
✔️ Up to 2 for caregiver vehicles (rear window placement)
✔️ Designed for awareness only—helping first responders respond appropriately
🔎 Did You Know?
You or your loved one may also qualify for Project Lifesaver—a life-saving tracking program that helps quickly locate individuals prone to wandering, often reducing search times from hours to minutes.
