🩺 The RRGSD Health Sciences Academy is ending the school year on a high note!

Recently, HSA students participated in a Job Shadowing experience at ECU North Hospital, gaining valuable real-world exposure to healthcare careers. A special thank you to Charlotte Ferguson and the ECU North staff for investing in our students and sharing their expertise.

We are also proud to celebrate rising RRHS junior Brandi Bedgood, who was selected as one of only 25 students to attend the prestigious Brody Rise High School Residential Program at East Carolina University this summer.

Congratulations, Brandi, and thank you to our partners at ECU North Hospital for helping inspire the next generation of healthcare leaders! πŸ’›πŸ–€ See the full article at https://www.rrgsd.org/article/2962936

πŸŽ“πŸ’›πŸ–€ Last week, we celebrated the Class of 2026 Senior Walk!

Our seniors took a meaningful journey back through the halls where their school story began, visiting Clara Hearne Pre-K Center, Belmont Elementary, Manning Elementary, and Chaloner Middle School after proudly marching down Hamilton Street in front of RRHS and RREC.

From little footsteps to graduation caps, this tradition serves as a powerful reminder of how far these students have come and the many teachers, staff members, families, and supporters who helped guide them along the way.

As younger students lined the halls with smiles, cheers, and high-fives, they were also given a glimpse into what their own future can hold. We are proud of our seniors and excited to see all that lies ahead for the Class of 2026! πŸŽ‰

Last Wednesday and Thursday, incoming RRGSD Superintendent Dr. Bennett Jones visited schools and district buildings across the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District, taking time to meet students, teachers, administrators, and staff members throughout the district.

During his visits, Dr. Jones had the opportunity to learn more about each school community, observe the great work happening across RRGSD, and begin building relationships with the people who make our district special.

Families, staff, and community members also had the opportunity to meet Dr. Jones during a community welcome reception on Wednesday and he took the oath of office as Superintendent of Roanoke Rapids Graded School District on Thursday.

We are excited to welcome Dr. Jones to RRGSD and look forward to the leadership and support he will bring to our schools and community.
